The "Great Grazing" Reunion.......

Of course I have sort of re-titled the "GRATE" reunion, because it is truly "GREAT" ! I could probably type hours upon hours about our Saturday. It was sort of back to normal kind of fun for one of these wonderful festivites. Except for our "dear" big bad John who was MIA, a wonderful stand up comedian stood in for him. His dear sister, Kim! What a hoot those guys are! I use to think me and Georgene were funny, nah... we laugh at ourselves too much. These guys got the "John Grate" kind of humor that just flows out with no smile to follow. The kind that just makes you laugh and laugh, followed by more laughter, with more laughter, THEN comes Aunt Eva in to just join the laughter.. because she didn't hear anything else that was said so she just laughs and we are laughing too, at her mainly, ( i mean with her ) and then there is nothing but absolute rip roaring laughter over nothing else but LAUGHTER!! My face usually hurts for days after one of these outings. Maybe that is why we only get together once a year. We are getting older, can't afford the wrinkles that continuous laughter can cause! Ever try going to the doctor for "facial pain". From laughing of course. they just think your nuts!

So, we have this reunion on Saturday after "62" of them have been on a Sunday. I am only wondering how many people will show up tomorrow! We always had a fun Saturday anyway, but no one came last year on Sunday, but 24 of my siblings and there families...(well you know what i mean ) and a few extras, so we took it upon ourselves to move it to Saturday. went pretty well. we kind of grazed all day (on the food, that is, you know like cows....) but tell me, cows literally stand in the same spot all day while grazing in the fields??? I mean do other cows literally wait on other cows. We hadn't chosen a time to eat, so we let the time choose us! ALL DAY!!! We ate all day!! As the other farm animals arrived and brought there feed, we truly fed! It was like the new hay in the fall, every time someone new drove up with new food??? we ate again....!! That is what reunions are for right?? Georgene particularly loved the new grazzziiinnngg that happened!! SOOO, we served just common foods, hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, hotdogs, salads, watermelon, hotdogs, marshmallows, desserts, did i mention hotdogs? oh yeah and soup beans....lots of soup beans. lots of corn breads....brought lots of corn bread home, more beans.....good beans. people like beans... hahahahaha gas prices high... very high.. fed grate's beans!!!!

We will post a few pictures very soon of this Grate day!! This whole blog thing is new to us, but since we were guilted in to viewing this cra......i mean cool stuff, we decided to just jump right in. (sorry John stole that little thing from you.^ ) hehe I took my very nice handy dandy throw away camera and when I find it (i think i may have thrown it away....OCD!!) I will post those pics too!! Quite a bit of fun was made of my TAC!! I am a little withdrawn from that....We took a nice family picture and Jeff (my new , newest,,newer... whatever) husband stood on the end just like a good boy!! (that's for Kim) lol we will share.........

Well, enough for now... probably wearing out my welcome or wasting time that no one will read this but Georgene, because I will make her!!! Love to you all.......
